Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds the distinguished chair in psychology at the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is well-known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and the use of child victims in court settings. Professor Goodman, who has a wide range of research publications as well as numerous awards to her credit and is the recipient of a variety of international and national prizes. She has consulted with various nations and organizations around the world on policies as well as the study of child victimization in the court system. She is also a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of several professional organizations, such as the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was director of three divisions (Division Society for Policy on Child and Family and Practice Division American Psychological Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one Section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
